Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a color image by a practically single exposure without exchanging three color filters in order by using a receptor composed or many isolated conductors, a photoconductive layer, a transparent electrode and color filter electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: On transparent support 3 filter layer 10 having opaque 6', red 7', green 8' and blue 9' filters, transparent electrode 5, opaque filter electrode 6, red 7, green 8 and blue 9 filter electrodes, photoconductive layer 2 and insularly isolated conductors 4 are laid to form electrophotographic receptor 1. When a voltage is applied between electrodes 5, 6, and receptor 1 is exposed from the support 3 side, distributed voltage K between conductors 4 and electrodes 5, 6 is made different between image exposed and unexposed parts. In accordance with the difference in voltage K a black toner is stuck to conductors 4 and transferred onto image receiving paper. This process is repeated with respect to electrodes 7, 8, 9 using toners of different colors to obtain a color image.
