Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover magnetic metal contained in incinerated ash in a state of high purity and high bulk density by separating magnetic metal in incinerated ash and after crushing, further separating remaining incinerated ash.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic metal (a) is separated from incinerated ash containing magnetic metal generated by incineration of waste such as municipal refuse etc. by proper magnetic separating method. The magnetic metal (a) is then put into a crusher 1 and crushed by purcussion to make the incinerated ash in which cans or the like remaining in an easily separable state. At the same time, the metal is made to crushed magnetic metal having a large bulk density. After that, the crushed magnetic metal is carried to a vibrating screen 3 to remove remaining incinerated ash. By this way, magnetic metal is recovered at high purity.
