Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent errorneous detection due to dew condensation by covering the top of a coloring reaction layer, which is applied on the surface to be checked by water proof, transparent film and detecting the leaking part. CONSTITUTION:The coloring reaction layer including a component, which is colored or discolored even by water, is applied on the surface to be checked. The top of said layer is covered by the water proof, transparent film. Water or steam is provided on the other side of the surface to be checked. The water or steam leaked from the leaking part of the surface to be checked is contacted with the coloring reaction layer. The leaking part is detected by coloring or discoloring the coloring reaction layer. The transparent film is the tape on one surface of which the coloring layer is formed. The side of the coloring reaction layer is applied on the surface to be checked as a checking surface, and the checking can be performed. The main material of the coloring reaction layer can be powder wherein component, which is colored or discolored by the water, is absorbed.
