Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the characteristics of a receptor even if the receptor is used repeatedly and to maintain the high sensitivity by combining a charge generating layer contg. a specified disazo pigment with a charge transferring layer contg. a specified hydrazone compound. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer 44 composed of a charge generating layer 22 and a charge transferring layer 33 is formed on an electrically conductive support 11. The layer 22 is made of layer contg. a disazo pigment represented by formula 1, and the layer 33 is made of layer contg. a hydrazone compound represented by general formula 2 (where Ar is a naphthalene ring, an anthracene ring, a styryl group or a substitution product thereof, and R is an alkyl group or a benzyl group). The layer 33 is formed by coating the layer 22 with a soln. prepared by dissolving the hydrazone compound and a binder resin in a solvent such as THF. The percentage of the disazo pigment in the layer 22 is 10- 100wt%, and that of the hydrazone compound in the layer 33 is 10-80wt%.
