Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide high sensitivity and to inhibit dark attenuation by spray- coating a dispersion of a material forming a charge genearating layer in a solvent onto a charge transferring layer to form a charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:A coating soln. consisting of a charge transferring substance such as a pyrazoline compound represented by the formula, polycarbonate resin and monochlorobenzene is coated onto an electrically conductive support to form a charge transferring layer. A liq. mixture consisting of a charge generating substance such as copper phthalocyanine pigment, linear polyester resin, cyclohexanone and methyl ethyl ketone is then spray-coated onto the charge transferring layer. Cyclohexanone and methyl ethyl ketone are solvents dissolving the charge transferring layer, and by spray-coating the liq. mixture, the interface between said 2 layers is dissolved in a degree. Accordingly, charge carriers are smoothly transferred, and a receptor with high sensitivity is obtd.
