Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize glow discharge and obtain larger laser output with larger input power, by forming a eddy creating device for laser gas in the high pressure electrode part in the discharge part that constitute the laser oscillator. CONSTITUTION:At approximately the center of the laser oscillator 1, the upstream branch gas tube containing the high pressure electrode is mounted. On its both sides the discharge tube 3 is connected, and on its downstream the downstream gas tube 4 containing low pressure electrode is connected. On the downstream of this tube 4, the heat exchanger 5 is mounted to cool down the high pressure laser gas that is heated by the discharge. The gas cooled here circulate to the branch tube 2 through the insulation cylinder 7 by the blower 6. At the end of the oscillator 1, the full reflector mirror, the return reflector mirror 9 and 10 and the output mirror 11 are mounted. In this formation the foldable hindrance plate ring made of insulating materials is mounted at the downstream side of the gas sub hole 15 of the high pressure electrode 13 mounted in the branch tube 2 so that the gas that passes through the hole 15 is turned back to creat eddy.
