Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent thermal deformation of a structure by a high-temperature laser gas and thereby obtain a stable laser oscillation output by providing additionally a heat-shielding pipe in the flow route of the gas on the downstream side of the low-voltage electrode of a discharge part constituting the laser oscillator. CONSTITUTION:Discharge pipes 3 are fitted to both sides of an upper-stream branching pipe 2 with a laser-beam generating high-voltage electrode built-in, and on these sides a gas downstream pipe 4 with the low-voltage electrode built-in is provided. Next, two units of the laser oscillator 1 thus prepared are connected in series with each other, a full-reflecting mirror 8 and an output mirror 11 are fitted to the respective end part thereof, and on the side of the connection in series, reflecting mirrors 9 and 10 are provided. In addition, to the downstream side of the downstream pipe 4 is connected a heat-exchanger 5 for cooling the high-temperature laser gas, while the cooled gas is made to circulate to the branching pipe 2 through the intermediary of an insulation pipe 7 by a blower 6. In this constitution, the heat- shielding pipes 20 coupled to an insulation curved pipe 23 are arranged in the downstream pipe 4 and inside a gas connecting pipe 16 connected with the pipe 4, whereby the generation of thermal deformation in the vicinity of the low-voltage electrode 12 provided inside is avoided.
