Abstract

As the steel for the seam welded steel pipe, for example, a conventional composition comprising 0.20% or less of C, 0.5% or less of Si, 1.0% or less of Mn, 0.03% or less of P, 0.1% or less of Al, the remainder of Fe and inevitable impurities is mainly objected. By using said steel, the grooved corrosion resistance can be prevented without applying heat treatment.
