Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to check the breaking of wire of a heater with efficiency while bringing the heater under the control of a computer so that allowable temperature conditions from a plant side will be met, by building the computer in a control system on an electric heater preheating system.
CONSTITUTION: Temperature distribution, preheating temperature, etc., requested by process side 27 are given from input-output console 31. Next, temperature information on each point of process side 27 is fetched and computer 29 decides temperature at the respective points. The results are displayed on the screen of display unit 30 so that the temperature of the whole plant can be found at a look. The display is provided by pushing the temperature distribution switch of operation controller 32 by an operator. Further, computer 29 compares the fetched temperature information to set value to decide the thermal capacity and radiation amount of a preheating equipment or a sodium-fusing state, temperature distribution of the preheating equipment, etc., and then determines the order of electric power feed to the heater and heater electric power to turn on the heater. Simultaneously with the electric power feed to the heater, a heater electric current value is fetched to judge the breaking of wire of the heater of a power-fed section from the electric current value.
