Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce such phenomenon in which a small signal is suppressed by a larger signal in case when several signals are added together, by giving a simple modification to the constitution of a logarithmic amplifying circuit. CONSTITUTION:The level variable slicers LS1 and so on are provided at the front stage of each of the high frequency amplifiers A1 and so on. The detection output obtained by detecting the outputs of corresponding amplifiers A1 and so on by the corresponding wave detectors D1 and so on is fed back partially to the above- mentioned slicers via the corresponding low pass filters LF1 and so on. Thus the slicing levels of the slicers are controlled in accordance with the high frequency input, and then the signals requiring no high frequency input are sliced to such degree at which the amplifiers A1 and so on are not saturated. Then the AM detection waveform of each stage is added together through the adder AD to obtain the output waveform.
