Abstract

PURPOSE: To concentrate a supply lubricating oil to the vicinity of a hot area on an exhaust port of a two-cycle engine by providing a blast nozzle for lubricating oil sent under pressure from an oil pump, between the exhaust port and a scavenging port formed in a slide face of its cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: Lubricating oil in an oil tank 66 is carried through an oil feed pipe 52 and concentrically supplied from a blast nozzle 54 to form an oil film of sufficient thickness on a wall, especially, a wall surface around a hot exhaust port 36. The oil film prevents piston rings 56, 58 from scratching the cylinder slide face and a piston 40 from being seized on an area around the exhaust port 36. Because the blast nozzle 54 is formed between the exhaust port 36 and the scavenging port 38, when the piston 40 rises, only little lubricating oil supplied from the blast nozzle 54 is allowed to be discharged from the exhaust port 36.
