Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce NOX while increasing the fuel cost, HC, CO and minimizing the deterioration of the operationability, by lagging the fuel injection timing in accordance with the operational condition of engine.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure chamber 18 adjoining to a timer piston 11 is conducted with the interior of an injection pump housing 1', while when lowering the fuel feed pressure through an electromagnetic reducing valve 20 provided in the housing 1' the injection timing is lagged. The reducing valve 20 is comprised of an orifice 21, core 24, spring 28 and a coil 23, and operated by an electric signal through a wiring 121. In other word the control signals from an r.p.m. detector A, car speed detector B, transmission position detector C and an engine temperature detector D are processed through a control logic 5, then provided through a relay 4 to an input terminal 29 of the electromagnetic reducing valve 20 to perform the lagging of the injection timing.
