Abstract

PURPOSE: To approximate the output signal to the input signal waveform, by varying the supply voltage of an amplifying circuit with the error signal of the input/output signals.
CONSTITUTION: A comparison is given between the input and output signals by the differential amplifier 1, and the collector supply voltage of the front-stage amplifying transistor 2 is controlled by the error signal. The collector output signal of the 2nd- stage transistor 3 is attenuated by the attenuator 4 and by an amount equivalent to the gain of the amplifying circuit to secure the same level as the input signal and then supplied to the amplifier 1. At the same time, the DC level of the error signal is controlled by the transistor 5 and the Zener diode 6. The error signal is then applied to the base of the transistor 8 which is connected in series to the load resistance 7 of the transistor 2, thus varying the resistance between the collector and the emitter of the transistor 8. The amount of voltage drop is controlled by the transistor 8 to decrease the distortion component of the output waveform.
