Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an elongated heat pipe which is excellent in heat-conducting property and can be used even with the evaporation part up, by a method wherein chambers partitioned by partition walls of excellent heat conductivity and incorporating a wick and a working liquid are connected to constitute the heat pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The chambers 2aW2c partitioned by the partition walls 1 of excellent heat conductivity are connected in series to constitute a pipe 3, the wick 4 is adhered to each of the chambers 2aW2c and the chambers are filled with the working liquid 5. The pipe 3 is then drawn through a die 6 to elongate the pipe 3, obtaining the desired elongated heat pipe 7. In this case, the thickness of the wick 4 and the amount of the working liquid 5 are set while taking into account the changes thereof due to the drawing. By setting the boiling points of the working liquids in the chambers to be gradually higher or lower, heat is transferred rapidly even when the plural chambers are connected in series and elongated, and the elongated heat pipe capable of transferring heat even with the evaporation part up is obtained.
