Abstract
PURPOSE: To hold always a normal operation state, by monitoring continuously the abnormal value of the distance between two shafts and the abnormal state of the inclination degree of the shaft for the travelling part of the coupling.
CONSTITUTION: Measurers 13 and 14 to measure space distances A and B are provided between the right end face of sleeve 4 and the left end face of bearing 11a, and measurer 15 to measure space distance C is provided between the right end face of hub 6 and the left end face of bearing 11a, and measurers 16 and 17 to measure space distances D and E are provided between the left end face of sleeve 5 and the right end face of bearing 12, and measurer 18 to measure space distance F is provided between the left end face of hub 7 and the right end face of bearing 12. Thus, space distances between both end faces of the travelling part of coupling 3, between hubs 6 and 7, and between bearings 11a and 12 are measured, and the distance between shafts 1 and 2 and the inclination degree of shafts 1 and 2 for the travelling part of coupling 3 are detected from these measured values, and the abnormal state is monitored continuously. Consequently, a normal operation state is always held.
