Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase anti-high voltage performance by forming plural high-pressure diodes connected to the secondary coil end of an ignition coil in a thermosetting resin compound and in a monoblock inside the ignition coil. CONSTITUTION:The primary coils 14, 16 are wound around a bobbin 44 and on the external circumference, the secondary coil 30 is wound around a bobbin 50 split in halves. The winding ends 31, 33 of the secondary coil 30 are connected to a prearranged ignition plug through high-pressure diodes 32, 36, 38. In this case, the high-pressure diodes 32-38 are housed inside a synthetic resin case 66. Inside this case 66, epoxy resin compound 76 containing a filler such as pulverized quartz, etc. is injected and thermally cured so that the high-pressure diodes may be formed into a monoblock with a case 54.
