Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow common use of one drying agent regenerator to several hydrogen-cooled generators by separating a gas drying agent from the drying agent regenerator. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen gas sealed into a hydrogen-cooled generator 1 returns to it via a high pressure side gas communicating pipe 2, a gas drying agent 4 and a low-pressure side communicating pipe 5. Then, with valves 6 and 7 closed, a valve 13 is opened to release a hydrogen gas in a closed box 3 into the air. Thereafter, valves 11 and 16 are opened to send a hot air into a gas drying agent 4 through a communicating pipe 15 until water is removed from the gas drying agent 4. After the regeneration of the gas drying agent 4, with the valves 11, 13 and 16 closed, the valves 6 and 7 are opened to circulate the hydrogen gas again. This enables common use of the drying agent regenerator 14.
