Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution and to improve the stability by using two amplifiers amplifying optical signals, namely one amplifier for amplification ranging from a direct current to a prescribed low frequency and the other for that from the prescribed low frequency to a prescribed high frequency, and then by comparing outputs of those two amplifiers. CONSTITUTION:Amplifier 15 for amplification ranging from a direct current to 10kHz and amplifier 14 for that from 10k-10MHz are provided. The output signal of amplifier 14 is applied to one input terminal 12 of comparator 11 via coupling capacitor 16, and the output signal of amplifier 15 to the other input terminal 13 of comparator 11. The potential of terminal 12 is set to -Va. Comparator 11 makes their comparison and generates its output of high level VH when the voltage of terminal 12 is greater than that of terminal 11 or of low level VL when not. Then, its output waveform is nearly 11 or of low level VL when not. Then, its output waveform is nearly similar to that of the input signal. In addition, no influence of fluctuations of the power voltage and temperature is exerted.
