Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the running capability of a vehicle on the unlevelled ground by changing the damper of reciprocating motion type to that of rotary motion type to generate a damping force and thereby eliminating the trouble of interference of the body of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When nondriving wheels are moved vertically due to the unevenness of a road surface or the like, a shaking arm 2 is shaken and a rotor 8 is also shaken. The rotor 8 has two vanes 8b, which are shaken inside a hydraulic chamber C filled with oil. When the nondriving wheels move and vanes make compressive motion inside the hydraulic chamber C2, the pressure inside the hydraulic chamber C2 rises in proportion to the velocity of the vanes since the hydraulic chamber is sealed off from the outside by a vane seal 16, a separate seal 17, and end plate seal 18 and a rotor seal 19. When the pressure rises above a certain level, a damping valve 12 fitted beforehand to the vane is opened, whereby the oil inside the hydraulic chamber C2 flows into the side of the hydraulic chamber C1 and generates the damping force therein.
