1437280 Valves IDEAL-STANDARD Ltd 7 Nov 1974 [10 Nov 1973 (3)] 48269/74 Heading F2V In a sanitary water valve in which a disc 7 is displaceable over a fixed disc 6 to communicate at least one of the inlet apertures 8, (9) with an outlet aperture 11 via a surface duct 16, an energy absorbing body 15 is placed in the duct 16 to reduce noise. The body may be a screen formed of two superimposed offset sieves spaced from the backwall of the duct, an air/gas filled body with a flexible convex outer wall, or a combination of these two.
