Abstract

1,197,504. Incinerating sanitary closet. H. M. SUNDBERG. 21 Sept., 1967 [22 Sept., 1966; 8 Dec., 1966], No. 42915/67. Heading E1C. In a sanitary closet comprising a housing 10 having at least one open-top receptacle 15B to receive body waste and a unit 13 for incinerating the waste therein, the unit 13 is just below the open bottom of a dome-shaped part 16 which serves as an after burner and has an air inlet 26 and an exhaust gas outlet 44, the or each receptacle being movable between a waste receiving station positioned beneath an opening in the housing 10 and an incinerating station positioned beneath the dome The outlet may be a pipe connected to the dome top with an air inlet pipe extending through a part of the outlet pipe. The air inlet 26 has a damper 46 to control the air supply. The exhaust gas outlet 44 is connected to a suction fan 22 having a pressure chamber 23 connected to a final outlet 24. The air inlet 26 is connected to the pressure chamber 23. The bottom opening of the dome 16 is covered by perforated disks 19 and 50 of ceramic material through which an air inlet pipe extends having outlet openings 52 on one side of it and an opening 54 on the other side. Electric heating elements 51 are arranged on both sides of the disk 50.
