A hot closet comprises an upper compartment housing a tangential-flow fan and air heating means for passage of air downwardly into a lower compartment enclosed by insulated side walls and a door, only the bottom edge of which has an air-tight seal so as to allow water vapour to escape through the unsealed edges. An ultra-violet lamp is mounted beneath the upper compartment for sterilizing the recycled air.
