Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the electrical characteristics such as charging potential of an electrophotographic receptor by mixing phthalocyanine pigment into a mixture of polycarbonate resin and bisphenol-A as a binder to form the photoconductive layer of the receptor.
CONSTITUTION: Phthalocyanine pigment is dispersed in a binder consisting of 0W30wt% polycarbonate resin and 100W70wt% bisphenol-A, and the resulting dispersion is applied to an electrically conductive substrate and dried to form a photoconductive layer. Thus, the desired electrophotographic receptor is obtd. When this receptor is repeatedly subjected to charging and exposure, phenomena such as a lowering in the charging potential and a rise in the half-value exposure sensitivity are prevented, and the stability of the electrical characteristics to repetition is enhanced.
