Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the photoreceptor which is high in sensitizing effect and is superior in stability in repetitive use by dispersing the perylene-base pigments combining N-type dyes and P-type dyes in a binder.
CONSTITUTION: The photoconductive elements of the perylene-base pigments adsorbed with P-type dyes as an inside layer and N-type dyes as an outside layer are kneaded together with binder resins and solvent and these are evenly dispersed to prepare the photoconductive composition. This composition is coated on a conductive substrate and is dried to form the photoconductive layer. This yields the photoreceptor for electrophotography which has superior photosensitivity and is outstanding in image quality stability, etc. despite repeated use.
