Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent ink liquid in a jet chamber from flowing back into a liquid chamber, to improve easiness to produce drops of ink and to make possible a high speed recording by a method wherein a subsidiary jet chamber is provided between the jet chamber and the liquid chamber. CONSTITUTION:To take an example, when voltages are applied simultaneously between piezoceramic chamber 19-1 and 19-2 and between electrodes 20-1 and 20-2, a plate 17 is deffected in the form of two-dot chain line in the jet chamber 11 and the subsidiary jet chamber 12 and the internal pressure is increased. And, when the ink liquid 18 in the jet chamber 11 is discharged from a jet nozzle 10, the ink liquid 18 will flow back toward a chamber 15. On the other hand, ink liquid 18' also in the subsidiary jet chamber 12 collides with the flow back ink 18 to prevent both from continuing to flow because the former tends to run into the chamber 11 by the rise of the internal pressure. The easiness to produce drops of ink is improved by means of this action for stopping the reflux. EFFECT:Mechanical distortion of ceramic members becomes smaller and the shape can be smaller-sized.
