Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent generation of an abnormal voltage in a transformer and suppress the potential vibration and the axial electromagnetic force therein by forming a tap winding of a sheet-like conductor wound concentrically and spirally with a main winding. CONSTITUTION:An iron core 1 and a secondary winding 2 are formed in the same manner as the conventional ones. On the other hand, a primary winding 5 is formed of a rectangular conductor wound in a cylindrical shape, and is provided with a tap winding 6 at the center. The tap winding 6 consists of a sheet-like conductor 6a formed with tap terminals (a), (b), (c) concentraically and spirally wound with the primary winding 5, a sheet-like conductor 6b formed with tap terminals (d), (e), (f) similarly wound on the inner periphery of the conductor 6a in such a manner that the tap terminals (a), (f) provided at the starting and finishing ends are respectively connected to the primary winding. A sheet-like insulator 7 is disposed between the respective layers of the conductors 6a and 6b. The series electrostatic capacity of the tap winding increased by the previous configuration so as to suppress the initial potential distribution and the potential vibration when the surge voltage is applied thereto.
