PURPOSE:To obtain a heat sensitive recording material which gives a picture of high density through a micro thermal energy by a method wherein a specific compound and a fatty acid-amide compound are contained in a heat sensitive color forming layer and a sticking phenomenon such as a refuse sticked to a heat senstive head is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:A heat sensitive recording material which contains a light colored or color-less luceo dye as a heat sensitive color forming component, an organic acid and/or a phenol substance and a bonding agent, is blended with a mixture wherein a 0.5-5 weight parts of a fatty acid-amide group compound such as acetamide, stearoamide, etc. is blended with a leuco dye 1 weight parts, and a 0.2-3 weight part of a compound of a formula (R, R' are alkyl of C10-30 which have the same group) obtained from an ester forming reaction between epoxycyclohexaneedicarboxylic acid and a higher alcohol is blended with a 1 weight part of a fatty acid amide group compound. Thus, the obtained material is applied on a supporting body and a heat sensitive color forming layer is obtained.
