Abstract
PURPOSE: To prefectly press-fix the porosity defect of the steel billet, by performing the rolling work according to the pass schedule possible to eliminate thickness of the porosity defect remaining in the steel sheet after the rolling work in a size represented by the formulas including the draft percentage and the shape ratio of the rolled sheet.
CONSTITUTION: At manufacturing the steel sheet by rolling the steel ingot or continuously cast steel ingot, the rolling work is performed according to the rolling pass schedule based on the formulas I and II for making the thickness dk of the porosity defect remaining in the steel sheet after the rolling work to be dk≤0; in said formulas I and II, H0 is thickness of steel ingot or continuously cast ingot, Hj is thickness after the j-th pass, Hk is thickness after completing the rolling work (after the k-th pass), d0 and w0 are respectively thickness and breadth of the porosity defect included in the steel ingot or continuously cast ingot, mj is the shape ratio of rolled sheet obtianed by j-th pass, R is radius of the rolling roll of the mill, dk is thickness of the porosity defect remaining in the steel sheet after completing the rolling work (after the k-th pass), and (a,b,c) are respectively a constant. By the present metod, the porosity defect is perfectly press-fixed through the rolling work.
