Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A radial tyre is provided with a toroidal carcass 1, consisting of cords arranged substantially radially, a blet 2 consisting of a plurality of layers 21 and 22, and a bead core 3. In this case, the carcass 1 is formed with at least a piece of a rubber-coated cord layer wherein a polyester fiber cord having a low polymerizing degree, whose main component is polyethyleneterephthalate having the ultimate viscosity ranging from 0.45W0.8 that is measured at 25°C by using orthochlorophenol as solvent, is burried with a rubber composition in which 85wt% or less of a rubber component is a natural rubber, and besides, a rubber has a swelling network density νS which is 25×10-5W60×10-5 mol/g.
