Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve maneuverability and comfortable riding, by a method wherein one layer of a steel cord ply and at least 1 layer of an organic fiber cord ply having an organic fiber code are polymerized to form a belt layer.
CONSTITUTION: The subject tyre is formed such that a toroidal belt layer 3, which is inserted between a center part of a carcass ply 5 fixedly fitted at a pair of bead cores 7 and a tread rubber 6, is formed by polymerizing 1 layer of a steel cord ply 1 having a cord angle of 30° or less and 1 layer of a rubber-coated organic fiber cord ply 2 whose cord crosses the ply 1 at a cord angle of 30° or less. In this case, each cord angle is set so that a ratio of a logarithmic value of a composite modulus of elasticity in the direction of the tyre circumference of the ply 2 to a logarithmic value of a composite modulus of elasticity in the direction of the tyre circumference of the ply 1 becomes within a range of 1±0.15. The ply 2 is formed so that the width of the ply 2 is wider than that of the ply 1, and the opposite ends thereof are folded back to reinforce said part.
