Abstract

PURPOSE: To assure the safety of electric insulation by determining the constant discharge point of the discharge line of a rotating tank unit as a point of detection.
CONSTITUTION: When water is supplied to a unit 1 through a water feed port 4 while the unit 1 is being rotated by a revolving shaft 2, the water is filled in the unit 1, whilist watershed members 12 receives the water from and hands it to the units. When the unit 1 comes to the under side of the shaft 2, the water is discharged into an insulation chamber 11b, and when the water overflows from the outside circumferential side edge of the unit 1 into the insulation chamber 11b, the insulation chamber 11b and the feed port 4 communicate with each other, with the water as a medium. When the water is at the flow rate at which the amount of the extent of overflowing to the chamber 11b is received in the unit 1 after the member 12 has passed the underside of the feed port 4, the electrode 17 in that point detects the water flow and operates a mechanism 18 which in turn controls the opening of a throttle valve 19, whereby the amount of the water received in the unit 1 is automatically controlled and the electrical insulation state is assured.
