CONSTITUTION:Plural monochrome heat generating elements 25 and a common heat generating element 26 provided stretching over them are provided, and by driving one of the transistor drives Q1-Q12, a corresponding heat generating element 25 is caused to generate heat, and by giving a driving signal A to a transistor driver Qa, the common heat generating element 26 for color is caused to generate heat. By composing one picture element of a line buffer 20 of two bits, a color discriminat ing bit C and a monochrome bit B, the operating clock frequency of a receiving side is made twice that of a transmitting side.
