Abstract

PURPOSE:To print special characters with a simple constitution by changing the printing characters to special characters such as reverse characters by the qualified information set in every printing character. CONSTITUTION:On basis of a longitudinal position signal Xi7 outputted from a line counter 5 of a printing control circuit for printer, one-line components of dot signals are stored in a dot signal memory 1 through a line counter 6 accompanying to a lateral position signal CH from a digit counter 4. Prescribed qualified information for every printing character is stored in a qualification information memory 2 for every dot signal by an address from a CPU. The dot signal, which is designated by a dot position signal Xi, out of one-line components of dot signals read out from the memory 1 is selected by a selector 7, and the dot signal in one dot unit from the selector 7 is changed in a signal changing circuit 8 by qualification information AD from the memory 2. Dot signals from the circuit 8 are held in a shift register 9 successively by a clock pulse phi, thus facilitating printing special characters.
