Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce remarkably the manufacturing cost for tinned, annealed copper wire, by the continuous atmosphere annealing of hard drawn copper wire made of bus having tinned layer contg. very small amount of different metals. CONSTITUTION:Copper wire hot dip plated by passing prior to the final drawing stage through a tank which accomodates molten tin and a very small amount of different metals, which raises the m.p. of e.g. copper, is used as bus. Tinned hard drawn copper wire of required diameter is obtained by the final drawing of the bus. Said tinned, hard drawn copper wire is annealed in a continuous atmosphere annealing furnace to manufacture tinned, annealed copper wire. Hereby remarkable reduction in manufacturing cost is made possible because the tinned, annealed copper wire is made continuously into stranded wire by means of combined one line of annealing furnace and a twisting machine.
