Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to monitor spark generation in the whole region of a current collector device by a method wherein a spark noize is detected and when the peak value and pulse width thereof rise above the fixed value the pulse is made to generate and the pulse generation number in a fixed time counted. CONSTITUTION:When a collector device generates sparks, the spark noise is detected by an antenna 4 furnished in a current collector chamber 3 to be amplified by a high frequency amplifier 5 and then to be detected by an envelope detector 6. The output (b) of the detector 6 enters a peak discriminator 7 and a pulse-width discriminator 8 and when the peak value and the duration of the output (b) exceed a certain set level, the output (d), (g) come out of both discriminators 7, 8 and the pulse (h) generates from a pulse generator 9. The pulse (h) is time-counted with a counter 10 and when the number of pulses (h) generating during fixed time is above is fixed value, the signal (j) is outputted to a spark monitoring device 11 to generate an alarm.
