Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable provision of large edge affinity in a bubble magnetic domain element by forming a drive layer between a substrate and a bubble retaining layer, removing the contiguous disk pattern in a predetermined shape and thereby forming the element. CONSTITUTION:A monocrystal layer 12 having inside magnetization becoming a drive layer is grown on the substrate 13, the contiguous disk pattern 17 is removed partly from the surface of the layer 12 and the substrate 13, and thereafter a bubble retaining layer 11 is grown. This bubble is transferred through transfer function unit between the patterns 17, and can be read at the detector. For example, YeFe5O12 of 2,000Angstrom is vapor epitaxially grown on a substrate having a thickness of 400mum of Gd2Ga5O12 in (111) plane, then the pattern is trimmed at 2,500Angstrom , and thereafter Y0.5Sm0.5Lu1.2Ca0.8Fe4Ge0.8O2 monocrystal having preferable monobility and temperature characteristic is grown thereon.
