Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove a measurement error due to fluctuations of the rotation time of a slit drum by keeping the resolution of a clock constant by varying a clock frequency according to the rotation time of the slit drum.
CONSTITUTION: Single rotation signal S1 of the slit drum is inputted to one input of AND gate 11, and clock signal S2 of VCO12 to the other. To the output of AND gate 11, counter 17 is connected and counts the number of clock signals S2 between signals S1 to supply the counted value to comparator 18. Comparator 18 compares it with set value B; while output Y is supplied to AND gate 14 with a judging function and NAND gate 16, output X is combined with AND gate 15 and NAND gate 16 outputs of AND gates 20 and 21 are supplied to up-down counter 22. Consequently, the signal that corresponds to the rotation time of the slit drum can be obtained by a DC-AC converter and a measurement error can be removed by controlling VCO12 for clock oscillation by the obtained signal.
