Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the shelf life of the developer, the adhesion power of the toner, etc. and improve reproducibility of colors, printing resistance, etc. by using the copolymer of the specific monomer which solvates with carrier liquid even before and after polymn. and polyfunctional (meth)acrylate as the toner.
CONSTITUTION: The monomer component A, such as lauryl methacrylate, lauryl acrylate, and vinyl stearate, expressed by the formula, and the monomer component B of polyfunctional (meth)acrylate, such as ethylene diacrylate, trimethyrol propane acrylate, are polymerized at about 0.01:1 in weight ratio of component B: component A in petroleum aliphatic hydrocarbon or halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon, and the resulted copolymer dispersion is added with polethylene, wax, or silica powder. After the mixture is heated and mixed, it is cooled, whereby the dispersion of dispersed particles of about several μm grain sizes is obtd.
