Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain powder developer excelling in secular stability of toner coloring matter, with less filming and throw-off of toner on carrier surface, by blending resin coated iron powder and specified coloring resin powder.
CONSTITUTION: Iron powder (A) resin-coated with mixture of styrene butadiene copolymer and polybutadiene (butadiene content; 7.5W100wt%), and coloring resin powder (B) made of mixture (bonded resin) (a) of epoxy resin 50W100wt% and styrene methacrylic ester copolymer 0W50wt%, coloring agent (b) made of carbon and nigrosine dye, and charge control agent (quaternary ammonium alkyl sulfonate, polyamine, etc.) (c) are blended so that the ratio of total surface of iron powder A to projected area of coloring resin powder B may be 1:0.5W2.
