Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a torque in a low-speed region by a method wherein a curve generator varying curvilinearly a speed detecting signal of an electric motor with an increase of speed and the output thereof is fed to a current amplifier to control a firing phase of a power inverter. CONSTITUTION:A curve generator 24 comprising a multiplier or a function generator etc. is provided in an automatic speed control circuit 13 controlling a firing phase of a power inverter 9 of static type Scherbius device. An output of a detector 6 detecting a number of rotations of an electric motor 3 is curvilinearly changed with an increase of speed to be applied to an inverted amplifier together with the signal from a speed setter 26, and the output controls a current amplifier 22 to cause the firing phase to be controlled. Accordingly, since amplification by the current amplifier 22 is suppressed to make the frequency of a firing signal long when the speed is low, the maximum torque which the electric motor can feed becomes small in low speed to enable bad influences upon a pump and blower to be removed.
