Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture of the compressor and smoothen the operation thereof by a method wherein a rotor is eccentrically placed in a casing, the rotor is provided with radially arranged cylinders and a roll-shaped piston is slidably fitted in each of the cylinders.
CONSTITUTION: The rotor 5 is placed in the casing 1 eccentrically and rotatably and is provided with radially arranged cylinders 11, the roll-shaped piston being slidably fitted in each of the cylinders 11. Accordingly, the change in shape of a space 22 due to the eccentricity of the rotor 5 is utilized and the pistons 12 are reciprocated in the cylinders 11 which are radially arranged in the rotor 5. Therefore, no part is subjected to severe friction, the compressor can be manufactured easily and a smooth operability thereof can be obtained.
