Abstract
PURPOSE: To excavate deep trench for a continuous wall with very high accuracy by correcting the error of measurements due to a play, etc., in the smoothly acting portion of the Kelly bar of an excavator with a telescopic type Kelly bar.
CONSTITUTION: When the depth of excavation becomes deeper, an inside Kelly bar 17 is lowered, and an excavating bucket 21 is opened and pushed into soil. A hanged body 11 is pulled toward the fixed point of the excavating bucket 21 through a guide pulley 24 by means of a pilot wire 13 so as to make it coincide with the direction of the pilot wire 13, and the inclined angle of the pilot wire 13 is obtained by an angle meter 16 and at the same time the deviated amount for guide wall of the carry bar 17 or the pilot wire 13 and excavation depth at the same level as the ground surface of the guide wall 23 or a place given distance from the ground surface are detected. And, they are processed by a computer to obtain real error for the planned excavataion section of the bottom excavated.
