Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the construction of a wave-breaking mound easier as well as make yield of cobblestone better by a method in which a steel box framework around which is a screen material is laid is sunk on the sea bed to construct a mound and then cobblestone is filled in the inside of the mound.
CONSTITUTION: A rectangular cubic framework 18 is built up by combining four poles 15 of H-shaped steel material, four vertical beams 16, and four cross rods, and angle materials 19 as screen materials are laid at regular intervals on each side excluding the upper side of the cubic framework 18 to form a steel box framework 20. Then, a plurality of the steel box frameworks 20 are sunk orderly onto a desired sea bed, e.g., the sea bed of a bay entrance leading to the open sea, and then connected with one another to form a mound 21 of a rectangular section. Then, cobblestones 22 of a size enough not to pass through the angle materials 19 are filled through the upper opening of the mound 21.
