Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a simple and rapid assembling of the retaining wall performed at site of irregular ground by a method wherein some box-type units composed of support columns and a plurality of threaded rods are connected with each other in the directions of length and height of the retaining wall.
CONSTITUTION: Construction units composed of the support columns 1, 1' of H- steel etc. and a plurality of connecting threaded rods 2, 3 are connected to the support columns of the construction unit of the next stage to form a desired length of a construction structure. The threaded rods 3 and 2 of the lowermost stage of the upper construction unit or a stage next to the lowest one are placed to cross with the threaded rods 3 and 2 of the uppermost stage of a lower construction unit or a stage next to the highest one, resulting in making a desired height of the entire unit. Gravel, soil and sand etc. are piled up in each of the construction units of outer shell of retaining wall which is formed by assembling and connecting the construction units, and then a retaining wall is completed. Thereby, a prefabrication work can easily be performed.
