Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a magnetic material of high resistance force to magnetism and superior square ratio by reducing ferromagnetic metal salt in the presence of hypophosphorous acid ions in an aqueous soln. of more than specific pH added with nonmagnetic needlelike fine particles.
CONSTITUTION: The pH of a reaction bath is kept at ≥ 5 (particularly 8W12), and needlelike particles such as nonmagnetic diatomaceous earth, geothite, needlelike Zn are added as nuclei to this. If ferromagnetic metal salt is reduced with hypophosphorous acid ions of relatively weak reducing power in this reaction bath, the ferromagnetic alloy powder is obtainable. If necessary, magnetic fields or ultrasonic waves are acted in the reaction bath.
