Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a measurement accuracy by using only an area having a large resolution by a method wherein a known component generating a flame having the same wave length as that of the object to be measured is cast into a hydrogen flame. CONSTITUTION:A component of a known concentration generating a flame having the same wave length as that of a flame generated at the time of throwing an object to be measured into a hydrogen flame is supplied to a combustion assisting air supplying system 3 or a hydrogen supplying system 1 on the way of a background component supplying system by means of a quantitative tubes 32 or 33. Said supplying component is thrown into a hydrogen flame 6 and radiates a flame light having the same wave length of that of the object component to be measured in a sample on a constant level. This spectrophotometric intensity is grasped as an output of a meter 20 and is summed up with the detection output of the object to be measured in the sample. In this way, a background is raised with a low meter output area as a nonused area, and thereby improving the accuracy of read and a resolution of an analysis system, thus, an analyzable concentration limit is improved.
