Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively recover carbide and unburned matter from municipal refuse incineration ash and reduce the volume of incineration ash by returning carbide and unburned matter as compost from the refuse ash to soil and using solids other than these for reclamation.
CONSTITUTION: Water slurry (b) of municipal refuse incineration ash (a) is sieved with a wet type sieving device C, and the separated small-size solids (c) are rinsed and dehydrated, after which a fermentation auxiliary agent and the like are added thereto to allow said solids to ferment. The fermented matter (e) is sieved with a wet type sieving device F and the separated small-size solids (f) are granulated to a compost product (g). On the other hand, the large-size solids (i) remained after said wet type sieving and the discharge water (j) contg. the solids produced with the fermentation are gathered and dehydrated. The residues thereof and the large- size solids (p) remained after said dry type sieving are used as reclaiming materials n. As a result, the additive value of the municipal refuse incineration ash which has hitherto been fully used for reclamation improves.
