Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure processing and to eliminate secondary pollution by processing sewage by a combination of separation, purification and classification based upon its grain size, properties, etc.
CONSTITUTION: Sewage, containing mixed feces, garbage, etc., deposited in a sewer, etc., is carried to a sewage disposal plant by a conveyor, etc., and screened firstly to remove a large driftwood, masses of concrete, etc., or other unprocess able materials having large particle size.Thus, waste (sewage) of less than about 50mm is supplied to separating stage 1 and separated into organic material and inorganic material by a wet mill and the former is dehydrated, dried and burned or disposed at a reclamation land, etc. The latter contains sludgy organic matter, but this is supplied to washing stage 2 and purified in an aeration and sand-washing pond, etc., to remove the sludgy organic matter, thereby obtaining only the inorganic matter. This sewage is sent to classifying stage 3 and, after being classified by a liquid cyclone, discorded or used as the aggregate.
