Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively regenerate an anion exchange resin membrane through simple operation by allowing to contact and immersing said membrane with and in an org. polar solvent contg. an acid or alkali and/or their salt at the time of regenerating said membrane.
CONSTITUTION: An anion exchange membrane of degraded performances having been used for electrodialysis, diffusion dialysis, etc. is allowed contact with or immersed in an organic polar solvent such as alcohol, acetone or the like contg. an acid such as hydrochloric acid, acetic acid or the like and an alkali such as sodium hydroxide and/or their salt such as sodium chloride, whereby it is regenerated. Then, the effect is acted synergistically by two kinds of chemicals in this way, and the membrane is regenerated effectively by the simple operation.
