Abstract
PURPOSE: A composition that comprises a low-melting glass powder of specifically composed components of PbO, B2O3 or so and a low-expansion refractory filler of specifically composed components such as cordierite in a specific proportion, thus being suitably used for sealing alumina base plates of IC.
CONSTITUTION: A glass composition that comprises (A) a low-melting glass powder composed of 77W86wt% of PbO, 6W15wt% of B2O3, 0.5W6.9wt% of ZnO, 0.1W0.5 (where 0.5 is excluded) wt% of SiO2, 0W3wt% of Al2O3, 0W2wt% of RO, (RO is at least one of BaO, SrO or the like), 0W1.5wt% of SnO2, 0W1wt% of R2O (R2O is at least one of LiO, Na2O or the like) and (B) a low-expansion refractory composed of 2W30wt% of cordierite, 0W30wt% of β-eucryptite, 0W30wt% of β-spodumene, 0W50wt% of zircon, and 0W50wt% of titanate salt, thus being suitably used for sealing alumina base plates of IC because it can lowers the operation temperature and shorten the time.
